Internationalism

We are internationalists. We seek alliances and political coordination with Labour’s sister parties and our movement allies around the world.

In a post-Brexit world, we seek a close relationship with Europe. We campaigned for a ‘remain and reform’ agenda as part of a Left committed to expanding workers rights and freedoms. We reject ‘Fortress Europe” and the hostile environment.

We don’t believe in rigid dogmatic foreign policy, be it illegal wars and toxic jingoism or war crimes denial in the name of anti-imperialism, but instead a 21st-century approach which centres human security, international cooperation and the liberation of all oppressed peoples.
